IELTS Speaking Part 2, còn gọi là Long Turn, là phần thi mà thí sinh sẽ được yêu cầu nói liên tục từ 1 đến 2 phút về một chủ đề cụ thể, sau khi có 1 phút chuẩn bị. Đây là phần thi quan trọng giúp giám khảo đánh giá khả năng tổ chức ý tưởng, sử dụng ngôn ngữ linh hoạt và trôi chảy của bạn.

1. Cấu trúc thẻ câu hỏi trong IELTS Speaking Part 2

Một thẻ câu hỏi thường có cấu trúc như sau:

Describe a [something].

You should say:

• what it is
• when/where you [did something]
• who was involved
• and explain why [it is important/special/memorable]

Ví dụ:

Describe a person who inspired you.

You should say:

• who the person is
• how you knew him/her
• what this person did
• and explain how this person inspired you.

2. Cách lên dàn ý trả lời Speaking Part 2 hiệu quả

Mẹo cấu trúc 3 phần:

Mở bài (Introduction)

• Giới thiệu ngắn gọn về chủ đề.

• Dùng một số mẫu câu mở đầu như:

  • “I’d like to talk about…”

  • “One of the most memorable experiences I’ve had is…”

Thân bài (Body)

• Trả lời lần lượt từng bullet point trên cue card.

• Kết hợp kể chuyện để làm phần nói tự nhiên.

Kết bài (Conclusion)

• Tóm lại cảm xúc, bài học hoặc lý do tại sao điều này đặc biệt.

Chủ đề 1: Người (People)

Đề bài:

Describe a person you admire.

Bài mẫu:

I’d like to talk about my high school English teacher, Ms. Trang, who had a significant impact on my life.
She was my teacher during my last year in high school. What made her special was her dedication and passion for teaching.
She not only helped us improve our English but also taught us valuable life lessons. Her classes were always engaging and full of positive energy.
What inspired me the most was how she never gave up on weak students. She stayed after class to help them and always encouraged everyone to do their best.

Đề bài:

Describe a place you visited that left a strong impression on you.

Bài mẫu:

A place that really impressed me is Hoi An Ancient Town in Vietnam.
I visited it two years ago during my summer vacation with some friends.
Hoi An is known for its old buildings, lantern-lit streets, and rich cultural heritage. We spent the evenings walking around, trying local food, and taking lots of pictures.
What made it unforgettable was the peaceful atmosphere and how everything seemed to slow down. Unlike busy cities, Hoi An gave me a sense of calm and nostalgia.

Describe a memorable event in your life.

Bài mẫu:

One unforgettable event in my life was when I performed on stage for the first time.

Before going on stage, I was extremely nervous and almost backed out. But with encouragement from my friends, I went ahead.

Đề bài:

Describe a gift you received that was special.

Bài mẫu:

A special gift I received was a handmade photo album from my best friend.
She gave it to me on my 18th birthday. It was filled with photos, quotes, and little notes from our high school years.
She spent weeks putting it together, and every page reminded me of the good times we shared.
It wasn’t expensive, but it meant a lot to me emotionally.
I still keep it on my shelf, and it always brings a smile to my face whenever I open it.

Đề bài:

Describe a goal you want to achieve in the future.

Bài mẫu:

A goal I want to achieve is to study abroad.

This goal is important to me because I believe it will open up many opportunities, both academically and personally.
To achieve this, I’m working hard on my IELTS and trying to improve my communication skills.

6. Mẹo luyện tập Speaking Part 2 hiệu quả

Ghi âm và nghe lại

Ghi âm phần nói của bạn và nghe lại để sửa lỗi ngữ pháp, phát âm, và độ trôi chảy.

Tập nói theo đồng hồ

Sử dụng đồng hồ để luyện nói đúng 2 phút, giúp bạn quen với thời lượng thực tế trong bài thi.

Luyện nói theo từng chủ đề

Chọn từng chủ đề cụ thể để luyện kỹ, đảm bảo bạn có thể nói linh hoạt dù trúng đề nào.
